　　混血儿蒂默西迎来了13岁生日，这也是他即将发生变化的时候。从一出生起，蒂默西就受到身边人们的监护，因为他们知道他所拥有的能力。他可以掌握家人及其同族的命运，这种异秉的天赋让他的生活充满危险。红月亮升起的第三个夜晚，一场为了争夺种族控制权的战争即将爆发。战争中对立的双方，一个希望结束诅咒，另一个信奉嗜血的生活，热衷于释放内心野性的自由自在，为了维护这种生活方式他们愿意竭尽全力。想生存下去，就意味着必须找到这个掌控着生杀予夺大权的男孩。维拉克宣称：“我不是普通人，是超出平常的人。”


　　在一轮红色圆月的照耀下，兄弟手足、挚爱情侣和善与恶之间一场血腥的争斗开始上演。
